I figured that I would post some more observations from last night's game since I now have slept a bit. Really, I think the majority of my loss can be blamed squarely on me. The rest could be good/bad dice on someone's part. Here is the list one more time.

We played dawn of war/sieze ground with 5 objectives.
Mistakes:
1) I deployed my bike squad with captain in the middle of my deployment zone behind some trees. They were blocked in and could really only go one way around the tree without taking dangerous terrain checks....right into assault range of two warptimed daemon princes.
2) Being too aggressive, too quickly. This army is extremely fragile. If I run my rhinos with 5 man combat squads up early, I am likely to lose them. I should have kept them in reserve for later in the game. They would have been much better protected.
3) Dawn of war. I should have probably kept everything off the board as I had 2nd turn and could then react to my opponent's moves.
4) Dangerous drop podding. I lost an ironclad/pod on turn 1 because I got too close to the board edge with it and it scattered off. I could have placed it further in to the board and tried to use it to block marches towards my fire base.
5) Placing ICs. When the warptime dp's assaulted my bikes, I wasn't paying close attention to my placement of models and my lightning claw captain never got to attack. one daemon prince had 1 wound left after eating autocannons while the other had 3 left. I could very easily have taken one of them out.
I am sure I made more mistakes, but these stand out and these are what cost me the game. The good thing is that I am learning what doesn't work very quickly and I hope to get better very quickly. Once again, I know you are out there reading, leave comments. Tell me what you think of the list. How would you play it? Input is needed.
